ACTYBIO A15
Preservative
ACTYBIO A15 is a liquid preservative with a broad spectrum of effectiveness against bacteria, fungi, yeasts and algae. It is a highly concentrated and ecologically responsible formulation.
Formulated for use in a wide variety of waterborne and water treatment applications.
Composition
ACTYBIO A15, is a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT), 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT). CAS number: 55965-84-9
Applications
ACTYBIO A15 is suitable for the wet preservation of a wide range of products such as: paints, stuccoes, polymer dispersions, adhesives, caulking, sealants, paints, detergents, chemical products. household cleaning and the like, pigment pastes, metalworking fluids, industrial towers recirculating water cooling, electroplating systems, pulp and paper applications, water injection in oil field.
The concentration needed to properly preserve the product depends on several factors.
This includes the susceptibility of the system to microbiological degradation, the extent to which the microorganisms can gain access, the species involved, the pH, temperature and period of time during which protection is required.
Suggested usage levels are based on laboratory and field assessments and are typical for indicated applications. The actual level required for your system is formulation specifically for individual customers requirements. The selection of the individual components of the formulation, the substrate to be coated and the environment in which the coating will be exposed have an influence on the amount of protection required.
